EPDM and Armor-Coated™ EPDM

OUR MEMBRANE TECHNOLOGY ENSURES OPTIMAL BUBBLE PERFORMANCE TO SUPPORT YOUR PLANT’S BIOLOGICAL PROCESSES
Just like shoes, membranes are not a one-size-fits-all solution. They define bubble formation and protect diffusers in some of the toughest wastewater environments. High-quality, durable membranes minimize the need for frequent replacements and maintain consistent oxygen transfer. With EDI’s engineering expertise, you get the right membrane to keep your plant operating efficiently for the long term.

Features

At our Columbia, MO facility, we operate a dedicated membrane laboratory—fondly referred to by our team as the “Institute of Membrane Technology.” Here, we continuously monitor the field performance of our membranes and develop new formulations to meet unique operational needs. Our lab is equipped for extensive testing, including Dynamic Wet Pressure (DWP), Active Area and Uniformity, and detailed Physical and Material Properties assessments (such as dimensional stability, tensile strength, elongation, tear resistance, extract analysis, specific gravity, flex fatigue, compression set, tension set, and heat-related shrinkage or mass loss).

A membrane’s chemical composition determines its resistance to heat, ability to withstand harsh contaminants, and overall longevity. Using precision tools, we apply linear perforations that reseal after releasing bubbles. This prevents fouling, maintains uniform bubble size, and ensures even air distribution across the membrane surface. Our strict sourcing, manufacturing, and quality control standards guarantee that every membrane performs exactly as intended in your system.
