Portable Residual Chlorine Data Logger

Gather data on residual chlorine concentrations in remote parts of water distribution systems

Provides a compact, stand-alone measurement and logging system that can be used virtually anywhere. Sensor, electronics, data logger, and flowcell are combined in one assembly. All that’s needed is sample connection. Even sample flow control is included as part of the flow assembly.

Q46H/65 Chlorine Dioxide Sensors

Measurement sensor for water quality monitoring and controlling ClO2 treatment systems

Uses a polarographic membraned sensor to accurately measure ClO2 in water. The sensor operates much like a battery, generating current that is linearly proportional to the concentration of chlorine dioxide in solution. A ClO2 permeable membrane isolates the sensor from the measured sample and insures that the measurement is interference free.

Two versions of the sensor are available, a sensor intended for installation in a flowcell and a sensor intended for submersion applications. Requiring minimal maintenance, sensors are easy to use and easy to maintain. An integral RTD provides temperature compensation and allows temperature to be displayed and transmitted from the monitor.

Capable of measuring DO3 concentrations as low as 0-200 ppb full scale, the system provides the sensitivity needed for demanding applications such as pharmaceutical grade water or semiconductor wash water. And with the standard 0-2 ppm range, the monitor is ideally suited to water bottling systems or municipal water treatment Even high range applications requiring 0-20 or 0-200 ppm can be easily accommodated.

 

Utilizing a highly selective polarographic membraned sensor, dissolved ozone can be monitored interference-free, with little maintenance. Continuous measurement of fluoride concentration in potable water without sample conditioning

The system employs a fluoride sensitive ion selective electrode (ISE) which provides reliable measurements down to 0.1 PPM and as high as 1000 PPM. The system is designed for use in applications where the pH and conductivity of the water are relatively stable. Fluoride measurement applications with widely varying sample conditions may require a more sophisticated system employing automated sample conditioning such as ATI’s Q46F-AutoChem system.

The Simple Solution to Peroxide Control 

Designed to continuously measure the concentration of H2O2 in aqueous systems. Using a direct peroxide sensor, the unit responds rapidly to changes in concentration, enabling operators to control chemical feed to maintain specific targets. With both digital and analog communications available, the Q46 is adaptable to a wide variety of peroxide monitoring applications.

Peroxide sensors are capable of operating over a fairly broad concentration range, from a low range of 0-2 PPM up to a high range of 0-200 PPM. Systems will operate with good sensitivity down to 0.05 PPM and respond to changes in concentration within about 60 seconds, making them useful for automatic control.

Continuous measurement of fluoride concentration in potable water without sample conditioning

Peracetic acid sensors are amperometric devices isolated from the water by a permeable membrane.  As PAA diffuses through this membrane, it comes in contact with an active electrode and is reduced on the surface.  The net effect is that the sensor generates a current proportional to PAA concentration.  An integral RTD in the sensor provides for automatic temperature compensation, allowing the sensor to operate accurately over a range of 0-50° C.

 

Peracetic acid sensors are capable of operating over a fairly broad concentration range, from a low range of 0-20 PPM up to a high range of 0-2000 PPM.  Systems will operate with good sensitivity down to 0.2 PPM and respond to changes in concentration within about 60 seconds, making them useful for automatic control.

Because measuring the SO3 ion in solution is relatively difficult, the Q46S/66 Monitor takes a different approach to the measurement, employing a unique gas-phase method to continuously monitor sulfide without contact between the sensor and the water sample. In operation, a small amount of sample is pumped into the system and mixed with acid. In acidic solution, the sulfite ion is converted to sulfur dioxide gas

Comes with 2 factory calibrations for versatility. Calibration matrix type 1 is designed for monitoring MLSS (mixed liquor suspended solids), return activated sludge (RAS), and waste activated sludge (WAS). Calibration matrix type 2 is used for monitoring primary sludge and thickened sludge. Two types of user calibrations (correction factor and value pair) are available for fine-tuning the factory calibration or monitoring TSS in other applications.

Smooth, durable sapphire measuring windows and continuous ultrasonic cleaning provide reliable and trouble-free service. The ViSolid is a good choice for process control of activated sludge wasting with an immersion mount for MLSS monitoring and an insertion mount to monitor RAS/WAS.

Digital TriOxmatic electrochemical dissolved oxygen sensors

Utilizes a semi-permeable membrane, an anode and cathode and an electrolytic solution. The electrical current can be measured and correlates to the oxygen concentration. For accurate results, required conditions include; proper calibration, flow past the membrane, clean electrolyte solution and electrodes, and a clean membrane.

With the TriOxmatic sensors, a 3-electrode patented technology is used. The TriOxmatic sensor functions with a potentiostatically driven 3-electrode system. In terms of measuring technology, this means that two silver electrodes and a gold cathode are in use. One silver anode functions as a non-current bearing reference electrode and the other silver anode is the “live” anode. The reference anode leads to improved signal stability and higher measurement accuracy.

Precisely calibrated with a multi-point factory calibration. The calibration is extremely stable and there is no need to calibrate on-site. A matrix adjustment is possible as needed. UltraClean Ultrasonic Cleaning. The ultrasound source is integrated in the sensor and generates high-frequency vibrations of the optical windows. Ultrasonic cleaning prevents biofouling resulting in maintenance free operation with accurate measurements every time. Utilizes nephelometric measurement technology in accordance with EN ISO 7027 (DIN EN 27027 or ISO 7027). Sample discoloration does not affect measurements.

Practical indicator of dissolved organic compounds in water

Provides additional optical measurements for added measurement capabilities and increased reliability. Infrared sensors for measuring both 90° Scatter Turbidity and IR absorption are built into the UVA sensor. These additional optics allow for the measurement of both UV-254 and Turbidity, a unique capability to enhances the usefulness of the monitoring package, especially in raw water monitoring applications. The IR absorption measurement is used to correct measurements for minor optical fouling that can occur over weeks or months of operation.
 
Sensors in contact with raw or settled water samples may experience fouling from iron and manganese. Prechlorination causes iron and manganese to precipitate out of solution and coat surfaces that are in contact with the sample. While manual sensor cleaning is easy, ATI offers Q-Clean, an automatic sensor cleaning system that reduces user maintenance.
